Location
The Lijiang City is in northeast of Yunnan Province. The Lijiang Ancient Town is in Dayan township.
It is about 500km(300miles) from Kunming and about 900km(560miles) from Chengdu. Many Cities in China have direct flights to Lijiang.
History
The Lijiang Old Town, with a history of more than 800 years, is located in the middle part of Lijiang plateau, covering an area of 3.8 square kilometers.First built in Song Dynasty,together with Langzhong old town in Sichuan Province, Pingyao old town in Shanxi Province, and Huizhou Ancient Town of She county in Anhui province are called "the four best-preserved ancient cities". And maybe Lijiang is the most famous and popular one among them.

Sifang Streets
Sifang street, located in the center of the old town of Lijiang, is extended in all directions and surrounded by many small alleys.It is the most important hub station on the tea-horse ancient road. Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, merchants from faraway gathered here, and various ethnic cultures intermingled here, making Lijiang the center of economic and cultural exchanges from that time till now.
Sifang street is famous for its unique street scene of colored stone paving, clear water washing scene and market in the middle of the day. The six multicoloured flower stone streets follow the trend of the mountains and radiate from the center of this old town,so the ancient traffic is very convenient in old town.
Sifang Streets is a must vist for tourists and every day is full of people.Only in the early morning and evening can find some quietness here.
Mu Fu Mansion
"Forbidden City in the north, Mufu mansion in the south". Mu Fu Mansion is a magnificent garden filled with Chinese architectural art. It fully reflects temperament which Ming dynasty architectures want to illustrate, while retaining the Tang dynasty architectures’ rough flow and style featured with the layout of the ever-flowing living water, and the spirit of naxi nationality traditional culture.
