Pandas, mahjong, bamboo forest - oh my!
With just 3 days to spend in Chengdu, we appealed to Absolute Panda tour guides for help in arranging a customized tour. Philip and crew assembled an itinerary that allowed us 2 full days at Dujiangyan Panda Base, a Sichuan Opera, dim sum dinner, home cooked Sichuan meal and mahjong lessons at a tea house in bamboo park. On Day 3, we visited Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and saw at least 7 newborn pandas. Philip, a Chengdu native, knows the staff at the research bases as well as many of the local restaurant owners. He is organized and really enjoys planning a trip that will make the most of your time.
Philip arranged our visit to Beijing, Xian and Zhangjiajie Forest, as well. We saw all the iconic sites of these cities with just six days to tour. Absolute Panda is the tour guide to consider if touring China.
