Jay Wu

Jay Wu is a photographer, birding advisor, and expert birding guide with AbsolutePanda. He is mainly responsible for photography trips and birding trips. He graduated from Sichuan Agriculture University with a major in forestry. The enthusiasm in his heart toward nature and birds drives him to become an expert in both ornithology and bird photography. Years of field experiences have turned him into an expert in ornithology, amphibians, and bird photography. He has won numerous prizes for his animal and bird-photography works, for example. In 2006, Jay won the Best Photographer award in China Wildlife Photography Training Camp held at Tangjiahe Nature Reserve. Currently, he is the Standing Director of a local bird watching society, Assistant of secretary-general of Sichuan Zoology Society and Chengdu Institute of Biology, in charge of bird-watching and engaging in eco-tourism business and relative trips. He spends almost all his free time watching birds and taking photos of those lovely birds wherever he sees them.
