Born in Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, Parus has shown a great passion for the surrounding natural world since his childhood and he earned a Master's degree in Zoology from Sichuan Agriculture University. Majoring in Avian Biology, he became a keen bird watcher since 2009 and has visited lots of famous birding spots in Sichuan, Guizhou, Tibet, and all over China. It is noteworthy that, Parus and his friends have been hiking and birding along the National Road No.318 from Ya'an city (Sichuan) all the way to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region in 2011, a distance of more than 1000 kilometers. Besides enjoying the wonderful landscape, Yang has also found many interesting birds throughout his fantastic journey.
